Job Summary:
The primary responsibility of the Patient Care Coordinator/ Intake Support Technician (IST) is processing fax and email documents and accurately entering new patient information as well as answering inbound calls secondary to Customer Service Representatives.
Duties and Responsibility:
- Accurately obtains and enters all new patient data and notifies the appropriate staff.
- Scans and assigns all documents from email, faxes, and other sources into the patient's electronic medical record and notifies appropriate staff.
- Answer inbound calls secondary to Customer Service Representatives.
Job Requirements:
- 2-3 years of medical office experience (US Healthcare)
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and EMR software.
- Familiar with HIPAA guidelines
- Able to perform basic mathematical computations
- Attention to detail.
