Job Summary:

The primary responsibility of the Patient Care Coordinator/ Intake Support Technician (IST) is processing fax and email documents and accurately entering new patient information as well as answering inbound calls secondary to Customer Service Representatives.

Duties and Responsibility:

  • Accurately obtains and enters all new patient data and notifies the appropriate staff.
  • Scans and assigns all documents from email, faxes, and other sources into the patient's electronic medical record and notifies appropriate staff.
  • Answer inbound calls secondary to Customer Service Representatives.

Job Requirements:

  • 2-3 years of medical office experience (US Healthcare)
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and EMR software.
  • Familiar with HIPAA guidelines
  • Able to perform basic mathematical computations
  • Attention to detail.
