Job Description:
A Precast Mould Designer is responsible for creating detailed design for mould drawings using specialized software. Their duties include preparing technical mould drawings based on panel shop tickets prepared by the Drafting Team. They ensure all designs meet industry standards, adjusting as necessary to improve accuracy, efficiency, and buildability. Precast Mould Designer collaborates both with the Drafting & Production Team to interpret project requirements, solve design problems, and provide innovative solutions. They must possess strong technical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work with various CAD and/or BIM software programs.

Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Conceptualizes and generate 2D and/ or 3D mould designs using steel and timber section formwork for precast use
  • Analyze precast models, specifications, and contract requirements to prepare accurate details
  • Communicates with all project personnel for client requirements and project progress
  • Coordinates with the CNC operator for machining, measuring, checking, and fitting of fabricated parts
  • Assists in the assembly of fabricated parts to ensure that mould is efficient for production and free from problems
  • Meet schedules and maintain quality standards.

  4. Experience exporting files to CNC cutter.

Job Requirements:

  • Possess Bachelor’s degree & Professional License (Passed Board/Bar/Professional License Exam) in Civil Engineering; Mechanical Engineering or any other equivalent program Certification
  • Experience in steel fabrication and vocational courses in drafting skills is also welcome to apply
  • Minimum of 5 years' experience for steel and timber section formwork
  • Knowledge and hands-on experience with precast panels ranging from simple to complex geometry i.e. curves and obtuse forms
  • Knowledgeable in various CAD/CAM software like AutoCAD and/or Revit, Inventor and Solid works
  • Certificate in AutoCAD training or equivalent is preferred.
  • Extracting drawings to DXF files or other file formats for CNC, plasma and laser cutting
