Job Summary:
The Accountant will prepare financial reports to track the organizations assets, liabilities, profit and loss, tax liabilities, and other related financial activities
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Prepare and examine financial records, ensuring accuracy and compliance with regulations.
- Manage all accounting transactions, including accounts payable, receivable, payroll, and general ledger entries.
- Reconcile financial discrepancies by collecting and analyzing account information.
- Prepare and publish timely financial statements and reports.
- Conduct month-end and year-end close processes.
- Ensure compliance with GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles).
- Develop and document business processes and accounting policies to maintain and strengthen internal controls.
- Assist with tax audits and tax returns.
- Liaise with internal and external auditors and manage audits.
- Provide financial analysis and forecasting to support business decisions.
Job Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- Minimum of five years of proven experience as an Accountant.
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles and practices.
- Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, SAP) and Microsoft Office Suite (especially Excel).
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
